Celebrates the annual meeting of the Ancient Order of Purbeck Marblers and Stonecutters. Distinctive Purbeck stone can be seen in cathedrals and other great buildings throughout Britain and the marblers and stonecutters who provide it have held their annual meeting in the Town Hall, Corfe Castle, Dorset, for nigh on a thousand years. David Winter's research assistant, Anne Le Butt, came across this obscure but fascinating tradition and Stonecutter's Cottage is based on a real cottage in the village of Worth Maltravers, a few miles from Corfe Castle.
