The barmay chap who lives in this strange house was very eccentric indeed. He does have on claim to fame, though, and that is that he was probably the originator of the mobile home! Not content to wake up each day and face the same view from his window, our eccentric decided that it would be much more agreeable to wake up to a different view every morning. Thus, he set about 'converting' an old steamroller into a new steam-power mobile home. Once that was done, he began trundling from place to place visiting fetes and steam rallies. In fact, he earns a reasonable living giving rides and serving light refreshments from his mobile home.
His latest venture -- and one which he probably won't succeed with -- is owning and racing a greyhound. He hit upon the idea of using the inside of the steamroller's wheels as giant treadmils for his dog, Zoom. Unfortunately, Zoom hasn't won a single race yet, and is unlikely to either. Maybe somebody should tell our eccentric old crackpot that training a greyhound at a rate of just 3 miles an hour is guaranteed to make him a non-starter!
