The Snow Queen's Castle was built high in the mountains near Tibet. Her people wore the same colourful clothing of the Tibetans and travelled by sleigh and skis through their land of eternal snow.
You wonder what they could live on, but deep in the caves beneath the palace were hot springs. With almost endless sunshine, warmth and chemicals from the springs, the harvest was plentiful and the land prospered. There was enough food for even the poorest.
The most popular pastimein the land was skating and the great place to meet for that was at the Snow Queen's Castle, built beside a huge frozen lake and including a beautiful ice cavern. Indeed, the main gate to the palace was through the ice cavern and it was in the cavern where all the Grand Balls were thrown.
The scenes are breathtaking. Lights twinkling throught the icicles reflected back from the mirror-like floor. The dancers whirl 'round and 'round, their beautiful gowns cut a little shorter so as not to catch in the skates. The Royal Orchestra playing Strauss's waltzes and laughter and good-fellowship shared by all.
Come join us in this magic land. Close your eyes and dream a little and soon you too will be transported to the Snow Queen's Castle.
