With possibly the first drive through service was definitely innovative. People didn't have to trudge all the way up to the front door to get their orders but just rang the bell and out popped one of the girls who took their order. The order was then delivered into the customers's hands and the customers drove merrily on their way.
Rosie had been worrying how to keep her two flighty daughters out of trouble when in a flash everything fell into place. Her neighbour had a great potato crop and needed his potato pickers fed, a river full of eels flowed by her side door and she always had leftovers each night from the restaurant that could be converted into packed lunches, Eureka! She fed his potato pickers on the leftovers and in return was supplied with as many free potatoes as she wanted. She sent the girls as apprentices to the East End of London so all their cooking would be authentic.
Another success for Rosie, for indeed, they became famous for their Jellied Eels and quick service.
