United Kingdom post offices are run unlike any others you will come across in the world and this is a typical example of a U. K. post office. Many of the post offices are run from homes with usually the front room acting as the actual office. It is rare to see even a village without one and even in the suburbs of quite large towns you will still see this type of post office. They are run almost like franchises and, apart from the usual selling of stamps etc. and handling of mail in general, they will probably sell Cards both post and celebration type and a bit of everything else, even down to a pint of milk. Nessie's Post Office, being in the centre of such a large tourist area, sells all sorts of souvenirs as well and if you can catch the postman at the end of his rounds, for the price of a wee dram or two he will regale you with tales of Nessie's exploits.

Background
David sculpted this cottage in early 2005 as part of Neptune's Staircase collection.

This piece was also used as a basis for comparison between the 2 most competitive applicants to make this cottage in crystical. When I get pictures of these we will add them to the site.
