Mould 1 David took a wax cast of Market Street, cut it in half and sculpted new detail where the two had joined together; the left became The Winemerchant and the right Little Market. Thus one David Winter Cottage became three in a short space of time.

Mould 2 In 1983 David remodelled the piece to restore some detail lost in aging moulds and to improve other detailing; beams were highlighted more, the chimney raised and enlarged and the piece made generally crisper.
