Somewhere out of sight but with a clear view point lurks the badger. He will have the ducks eggs and the mice's young, given half a chance, to add to his radically mixed diet. A perfect pate of mixed grubs, tender shoots and small animals. A very stealthy character, he can almost steal the eggs from under the sitting bird.

Camouflaged by his coat of green leaves and masked by black streaks over the eyes, he makes the cutest bandit with his case of contraband (rodent pate?).
