A place we can always imagine from Sleeping Beauty's rest to the home of Prince Charming. David's sculptural form has caught the picture we all imagine when we think of a fairy tale castle. With its friendly mystique, the castle draws you in and surround you with warmth. The key behind the series is every man's home is his castle, a place where you eat, sleep, raise a family, and build upon happy memories.

Numerous variations of this piece exist. Characteristics of early pieces: a) A foliage arch behind the main tower. b) Lack of foliage, especially between the towers. c) Sharply pointed towers.
Then a series of modifications were made gradually over a three-year period: a) The foliage arch was filled in and two others added during 1985-85. b) Foliage added, notably between the towers to prevent them from separating in the mould. c) Sharp tower points rounded off.
The overall size diminished on pieces made between 1983 and 1985 as mould shrinkage increased. The problem was then corrected and later pieces returned to the original size.
