Carat Croft is the second cottage in the "Crack The Code" Collection." The first, The Assayer's Tower, introduced the challenge of solving one part of the mystery code. There are four cottages in the series, each with its own part of the code. You must solve all four -- a daunting task, but there's a rich reward! See the special leaflet enclosed with this cottage for full details.
The Assayer's Tower was definitely not easy to break into, being guarded by so many hobgoblins. Carat Croft is equally difficult to enter. It is occupied by elves who are all master jewel cutters. Inside, if you could manage to steal a glimpse, undetected, you would see sixteen elves busily working away at four benches. But how can you hope to enter? The elves are locked behind three security doors. They're attended by nine goblins and guarded 24 hours a day! Each elf works a twelve hour shift, six days a week and gets three weeks off each year!
