We are delighted to introduce to you Barking Rocks Lighthouse. David Sculpted this as a Special Commission for Harbour Lights. We are expecting it to be in stock in February.
   Harbour Lights decided to make a series of Lighthouses using guest artists and David was the first artist chosen. When you receive this lighthouse you will note that it was made in China.
   All Harbour Lights Lighthouses are made in China. (Especially interesting, there was always much discussion with David's work as to whether it was advisable to try to move production to China.) However, David is very proud of his heritage and most of the collectors of his work are anglophiles. Also most collectors prefer the individual variation in the painting colouring that comes from painters working from home.
   To be fair, I have to say the Chinese work is beautifully made and painted, and even though there is rarely any individuality, when you look at the dimensions and the prices at which the Chinese can produce, it makes one wonder.
   Needless to say, I am very excited about retailing it and hope that maybe Harbour Lights will decide to do more. With production in China, it does allow David to really let his imagination flow.
   Unfortunately, this lighthouse will not be for sale in England, but we do have permission to ship orders worldwide to anyone who wishes to order.
